Kolkata, July 26 -- The West Bengal government will organise the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign across the state from August 9 to August 17, marking the first such large-scale observance after the BJP came to power in the state.
The initiative aims to promote patriotism, strengthen national unity and encourage people to voluntarily hoist the national flag.
The programme has been planned in line with a communication from the union Ministry of Culture.
Based on the centre's directive, information and cultural affairs department secretary Soumitra Mohan has issued detailed guidelines outlining the implementation of the campaign across West Bengal.
