Kolkata, May 23 -- West Bengal's Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul today said administrators would be appointed in municipalities and municipal corporations where councillors and members of mayoral councils have resigned, in a bid to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of civic services.

Speaking on the functioning of urban local bodies across the state, Paul said the government had already posted administrators in at least seven municipalities and civic agencies in West Bengal following a spate of resignations and vacancies in elected boards.
