New Delhi, March 21 -- Stressing that modern-day warfare is no longer confined to geographical boundaries, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that a strong military, backed by well-prepared and aware citizens, is essential to safeguard national interests.
"Present-day warfare transcends borders, with national security encompassing economic, digital, energy, and even food security," Singh said, addressing a gathering virtually during the Raising Day celebrations and the Diamond Jubilee of Sainik School, Ghorakhal in Uttarakhand.
