Madikeri, April 5 -- A cross-border couple with roots in Kodagu and Iran has been left stranded in Karnataka's hill district as the ongoing West Asia conflict disrupted flights and communication, cutting them off from their family and placing them in a race against time before their visas expire.

Naveen, a native of Murnad, and her Iranian husband Nadher, who have lived for decades in Bojnurd, had travelled to Kodagu in December last year as part of their annual visit. What began as a routine trip has now turned into an uncertain wait, with repeated flight cancellations derailing their return plans.
