Lucknow , June 27 -- Special Task Force( STF) of Uttar Pradesh police gunned down Sanjay alias Sanjeev, the main shooter in the murder case of property dealer Sandeep Singh in Lucknow, during an encounter on early Saturday morning.
The encounter took place on Indira Canal Road in the state capital.
Sanjeev had murdered a property dealer in broad daylight in Lucknow on May 27. The dealer was talking on his mobile phone in front of his office when Sanjay, also known as Sanjeev, opened fire.
The police had announced a reward of Rs1 lakh for his arrest.
Police said the STF received information that Sanjeev was near Indira Canal Road.
