Chennai, July 22 -- Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Wednesday evening offered prayers at the Arulmigu AvinashiLingeswarar Temple in Avinashi in Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu.
The Vice-President on a short one-day visit to the state, inaugurated a nursing college at Coimbatore soon after arrival and later proceeded to the neighbouring district and offered prayers.
He was received by the temple priests with full temple honours.
He had darshan of the Lord and offered special prayers after which the priests gave him prasadams.
