Thiruvananthapuram, March 1 -- The Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, on Sunday inaugurated the centenary celebrations of St. Stephen's Higher Secondary School at Pathanapuram in Kollam district, hailing its 100-year journey as "a century of shaping minds" and urging students to uphold values of character, integrity and social responsibility.

Describing the completion of 100 years as a "remarkable milestone" achieved by very few institutions, the Vice-President said the school has spent a century nurturing generations of responsible citizens, leaders, professionals and compassionate human beings.

He stressed that the true strength of any educational institution lies not in its infrastructure but in the values it imparts.
