Thiruvananthapurm, July 19 -- The Vizhinjam International Seaport will commence full-fledged Export-Import (EXIM) operations from August 18, marking a landmark in Kerala's economic development and India's maritime sector.

With the launch, the port will evolve from a transshipment hub into a full-fledged international cargo gateway, enabling direct export and import operations.

The Chief Minister will flag off the first export container, formally inaugurating the EXIM services. The event will be followed by the Mission Samudra Business Summit, which will bring together global shipping companies, logistics firms, exporters, investors and industry leaders.
