Thiruvananthapuram, June 23 -- Vizhinjam International Seaport will script another milestone in its journey on Wednesday with the arrival of its 1,000th commercial vessel, highlighting the port's rapid growth and emergence as a global transshipment hub.
The milestone vessel, MSC Luciana, is scheduled to berth at the port at around 5 p.m. The achievement makes Vizhinjam one of the fastest ports in the world to surpass the 1,000-vessel mark, accomplishing the feat in less than two years of commercial operations.
