Bolpur (West Bengal), May 28 -- Visva-Bharati University authorities have raised objections to the open hanging display and sale of meat in the hallowed institution's premises and launched a public campaign and decreed that no meat can be sold openly in the Shyambati Bazar area.
Authorities had raised objections to the open and hanging display of meat on Visva-Bharati University land earlier too.
Selling meat in public in this way is "unethical", Visva-Bharati University's private security agency department and administrative officials have announced during the campaign.
All meat vendors have been banned from selling meat in public on the university land.
