New Delhi, April 1 -- India's Vishvanath Suresh and Sachin delivered strong performances on Day 3 of the Asian Boxing Championships 2026 in Ulaanbaatar on Wednesday, registering victories in their respective bouts to progress to the next round.
Competing in the men's 50kg division, Vishvanath Suresh displayed impressive technical skill and ring awareness to dominate Kyrgyzstan's Bekzat Ergeshov.
The Indian boxer controlled the bout throughout and secured a convincing 5-0 unanimous decision from the judges.
Suresh will now face a tough challenge in the next round against Kazakhstan's Sanzhar Tashkenbay, the reigning world champion and a World Cup winner in 2025.
