Hyderabad, Sept. 3 -- The mood around the Hyderabad Golf Association course changed noticeably on Thursday as 19-year-old local golfer Vishesh Sharma turned the Telangana Golconda Masters into a potential homecoming triumph.
Playing in familiar surroundings, Vishesh produced a composed six-under 64 to move four shots clear of a chasing pack and finish the third round at a remarkable 20-under 190.
From the opening holes, there was a sense that the teenager was not simply protecting his lead. He was extending it.
Vishesh began the day tied with experienced professional Amardeep Malik but quickly established his authority, picking up seven birdies during the round. A lone bogey on the 13th did little to disturb his rhythm.
