Mumbai, Aug. 8 -- National Award-winning filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has confirmed that he is developing a feature film based on the Tarun Tejpal rape case, hours after the Bombay High Court overturned the former Tehelka editor's acquittal and sentenced him to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
Speaking after the verdict, Bhardwaj said the striking contrast between the Goa sessions court's 2021 acquittal and the Bombay High Court's subsequent conviction compelled him to examine the case through cinema.
