Visakhapatnam, March 29 -- Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg on Sunday said community areas will be developed under the V-PULL (Visakha-Prajamukhi Urban Living Lab) initiative, following the city's selection for the Bloomberg Philanthropies 2025-2026 Mayors Challenge Award.
Inspecting Shiv Ganesh Nagar in Vasavanipalem, Garg interacted with fisherfolk families and reviewed issues related to basic infrastructure and sustainable development.
Residents highlighted concerns on various issues including sanitation, drinking water supply, roads, drainage, electricity and pollution control.
They also sought development of green belts through plantation to improve environmental conditions.
