Mumbai, Oct. 17 -- An aspiring actress residing in Virar area of nei ghbouring district Palghar with her mother and brother allegedly died by suicide after being subjected to continuous harassment and blackmail by a man who had promised to help her secure acting assignments, police said on Saturday.
The woman, identified as Nalini, was found dead near Olanda Naka in Virar West after she had stepped out for her routine morning walk.
Police said an investigation revealed that she had died after consuming a poisonous substance.
A suicide note recovered from the spot reportedly stated that she had taken the extreme step due to persistent harassment and blackmail.
