Shimla, March 30 -- A viral video showing a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) driver operating a bus with an umbrella during rainfall triggered a discussion in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Monday, with Bharmour MLA Dr. Janak Raj urging the government to withdraw action against the driver.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Dr. Janak Raj said the incident reflects the poor condition of HRTC buses rather than any fault of the driver. He informed the House that the driver was compelled to use an umbrella while driving due to leakage inside the bus during rain in his constituency.
