New Delhi, June 4 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to expunge the remarks made by the Delhi High Court in its recent judgment permitting wrestler Vinesh Phogat to take part in the selection trials for the 2026 Asian Games.
A Bench comprising Justices PS Narasimha and Aravind Kumar observed that the petition filed by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) against the Delhi High Court's ruling had become infructuous, as Vinesh Phogat had ultimately participated in the selection trials pursuant to the Supreme Court's order dated May 29.
