Patna, June 18 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today announced that the state government will re-establish the historic Vikramshila University within the next year as part of efforts to revive Bihar's glorious educational legacy.
Addressing a function, the Chief Minister highlighted Bihar's rich academic heritage saying that the state was once regarded as the educational capital of the world, home to globally renowned institutions such as Nalanda University and Vikramshila University.
He noted that Nalanda University was revived through the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
