Bengaluru, Aug. 2 -- Drawing on the successful resolution of the long-standing Thiruvalluvar statue issue as a template for resolving contentious inter-State disputes, Karnataka BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Sunday urged Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief C Vijay to bring the same spirit of statesmanship to the Cauvery water dispute and extend support to the Mekedatu balancing reservoir project.
