Chennai, Sept. 1 -- Having set an ambitious target of transforming Tamil Nadu into a USD 1.5 trillion economy by 2036, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay is embarking on a tour of the United Kingdom from September 10 to scout for investment.

This is his first trip abroad after assuming office as Chief Minister in May this year. His itinerary includes a series of meetings with investors to secure big-ticket investments to boost job creation and attract investments to propel industrial growth and economic development. He will be in the UK till September 16 to lure capital investments, official sources said.
