Chennai, Sept. 3 -- Chief Minister Vijay on Thursday announced in the State Assembly that a world-class Tamil Nadu Olympic City and Motor Sports City would be established in Chennai to produce quality athletes to enable them to win laurels in the global stage.
Making a Statement Under Rule 110, he said the Olympic City would be built Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), with the aim of producing athletes to train and win medals at the Olympics and other international sporting events.
