Chennai, June 26 -- Committng himself to a social cause, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay flagged off an anti-drug awareness marathon in the city on Friday and also joined the participants in the run, sending a strong message against drug abuse.
The marathon run was was held along Kamaraj Salai in the Marina beach front to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, under the theme "Start Run. Stop Drugs."The Chief Minister's decision to actively participate in the marathon alongside the public added energy and significance to the campaign.
