Chennai, May 20 -- Continuing with his meetings of officials of various departments, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijayon Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting of the Energy Department, and took stock of the present power position in the state.
During the meeting in which Minister for Energy Resources R Nirmal Kumar, Secretaries and senior officials participated, the Chief Minister reviewed the state's present power generation capacity, electricity demand, and distribution networ, besides the financial position of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and the progress of key infrastructure projects.
