Panchkula, Sept. 24 -- Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij on Thursday ordered the Labour Department to conduct an immediate inquiry and register an FIR against an MES contractor if allegations by workers that he allegedly withheld their wages and deducted Rs 8,000 from their salaries, were substantiatedThe workers have also alleged that they had not been paid for the past two months.
Vij, who was hearing public grievances at the PWD Rest House in Ambala Cantonment, took serious cognisance of the complaint and directed officials to act promptly. He made it clear that wage deductions and harassment of workers would not be tolerated.
