Dharamshala, Jan. 23 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, alleging deep internal discord and a "settlement game" within the ruling party, sparked by vigilance investigations against senior leaders.

Addressing a press conference here on the second day of his Kangra visit, Thakur challenged Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to disclose the identity of the "senior Congress leader" who, he claimed, threatened to resign if the vigilance probe against him was not stopped.

He questioned the influential leader who allegedly rushed to Delhi and warned the high command of quitting the party.
