Saharanpur, Nov. 2 -- In a major action today morning, the Vigilance Establishment Department conducted simultaneous raids at seven locations linked to retired police inspector Premveer Singh Rana in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The raids were carried out at his residence in Brijesh Nagar, a farmhouse on Paper Road, and several other properties.
According to officials, the investigation revealed that Rana had accumulated assets worth Rs 2.92 crore, far exceeding his known sources of income, and he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the same.
