Shillong, Sept. 6 -- Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will be on a two-day visit to Meghalaya starting on Monday, during which he will lay the foundation stones for five infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,010.95 crore, officials said on Sunday.
This is Vice President Radhakrishnan's first visit to this northeastern state of Meghalaya since he assumed office on September 12, 2025.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, his cabinet ministers, and government officials will be present at the programme.
Radhakrishnan will lay the foundation stones for the New Shillong Water Supply Scheme (Phase II), costing Rs 850.58 crore, to be funded under the Urban Challenge Fund of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
