Kottayam (Kerala), May 31 -- Vice President Dr. C.P. Radhakrishnan will visit Kerala today to attend a series of programmes in Kottayam and Kannur, including the inauguration of the 140th anniversary celebrations of Deepika newspaper.
The Vice President will inaugurate the anniversary celebrations at 2.30 p.m at K.C. Mammen Mappillai Hall in Kottayam. Governor Rajendra Arlekar will preside over the function, while Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will deliver the keynote address.
Dr. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to arrive by helicopter at the Kottayam Police Parade Ground at 2.20 p.m and depart from the venue at 3.30 pm following the event.
