New Delhi, Aug. 3 -- Vice Admiral Manish Chadha on Monday assumed charge as the Director General Naval Operations (DGNO), taking over one of the Indian Navy's most crucial operational appointments.

A highly decorated Communication and Electronic Warfare specialist, Vice Admiral Chadha brings more than three decades of operational, command and strategic experience to the post.

Commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1, 1991, after graduating from the 78th course of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Vice Admiral Chadha has served in a wide range of command, instructional, diplomatic and staff roles across the Navy.
