Mumbai, Feb. 18 -- Veteran Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan, father of actor Salman Khan, is undergoing treatment at the Lilavati Hospital here after experiencing a sudden rise in blood pressure that resulted in a minor brain haemorrhage, hospital sources said on Wednesday.

The 90-year-old screen writer famous for his partnership with Javed Akhtar for developing the plot and scripting the dialogues and lyrics for iconic films like Sholay since the 1970s, was taken to the hospital's emergency wing at around 8:30 am on Tuesday by his family physician, Dr Sandeep Chopra. He was immediately moved to the Intensive Care Unit for specialised medical attention.
