Nagpur, July 28 -- : Former Editor-in-Chief of the daily Tarun BharatLaxmanrao Tryambak Joshi, known for his scholarly approach, integrity and selfless contribution to journalism, passed away at a private hospital here on Tuesday afternoon. He was 89.

Joshi breathed his last at around 2 pm after a prolonged association with the field of journalism spanning several decades.

He began his journalistic career with the Marathi daily Tarun Bharat. After a brief stint in Goa, he returned to Nagpur and rejoined Tarun Bharat.

He later also served as the Editor of Lokshahi Varta, where he earned respect for his fearless writing, professional integrity and commitment to social causes.
