Varanasi, April 10 -- The court of Special Judge (MP-MLA) Yajuvendra Vikram Singh heard the case of the murderous attack on former MP Dhananjay Singh here on Friday.
Both sides presented their arguments. As the trial has reached its final stage, a major verdict is expected soon. The next hearing will be held on April 13.
According to the case, on October 4, 2002, the then MLA and former MP Dhananjay Singh was attacked while returning to Jaunpur with his companions. It is alleged that Abhay Singh and his companions, who got out of a car, opened fire indiscriminately near Taksal Cinema Hall in Nadesar, under the Cantt police station area of Varanasi.
