New Delhi, July 2 -- Congress general secretary K C Venugopal on Thursday called for a Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, holding the Centre accountable for the temple's administration and alleging that repeated warnings about irregularities were ignored.
In a statement, Venugopal claimed that crores of rupees donated by devotees had been siphoned off, describing the alleged "Chanda Chori" as a matter that had shaken the faith of millions of people.
