Bengaluru, Sept. 16 -- The Congress high command is stepping up its engagement with the Karnataka unit, with AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala holding a series of meetings here on Wednesday amid organisational churn, pending appointments and the politically sensitive Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The packed schedule at the KPCC office - beginning with a meeting with newly appointed district Congress presidents and extending to consultations with senior leaders on SIR - comes at a time when the party is undertaking a significant organisational restructuring in the State.
