Patna, July 15 -- Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JJD) candidate Veena Manavi alleged on Tuesday that her nomination for the Bankipur Assembly by-election was rejected as part of a "well-planned conspiracy" and announced that she would challenge the decision through legal means.
Addressing media persons, Manavi claimed that she was arrested on the day of filing her nomination in connection with an old complaint case, leaving her under stress and with limited time to complete the nomination process. She said the circumstances resulted in certain errors in her nomination papers.
