Thiruvananthapuram, May 15 -- Kerala Chief Minister-designate V. D. Satheesan on Friday met outgoing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at his residence, in what is being viewed as a significant political gesture following the change of power in the state.
The meeting came a day after the Congress high command officially announced Satheesan as the new Chief Minister after the United Democratic Front (UDF) secured a decisive victory in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, ending the decade-long rule of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) led by Pinarayi Vijayan.
According to reports, the two leaders held discussions on matters related to the smooth transition of power and the prevailing political situation in the state.
