Bengaluru, June 24 -- The Karnataka government will go ahead with the rollout of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) from July 1, even as it flags a higher financial burden on the state under the revised funding structure of the rural employment programme.
Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Eshwar Khandre said the state is committed to ensuring continuity in rural employment guarantees and will not allow disruption in wage payments or ongoing works during the transition from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) framework to the new scheme.
