Hyderabad, Aug. 9 -- A 'Varuna Yagam', seeking abundant rainfall and full reservoirs in the Krishna and Godavari river basins, will be conducted at Nagarjuna Sagar on Monday, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy scheduled to participate in the concluding Purnahuti ceremony.

The ritual will be held at the premises of the Vijay Vihar Tourism Guest House, where 108 Ritwiks (priests) will perform the Yagam across 11 Homa Kundams, a release from CMs office said here on Sunday.

Priests and Vedic scholars from the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple will conduct the rituals.
