Jammu, April 29 -- union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with union Minister Jitendra Singh, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, will flag off the Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express from Jammu Tawi Railway Station on Thursday, marking a major milestone in rail connectivity to the Kashmir Valley.
Officials said all arrangements are in place for the launch, which marks the extension of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat service to Jammu. The 20-coach semi-high-speed train will undertake its maiden journey from Jammu to Srinagar, enhancing connectivity across the region's challenging terrain and giving a boost to tourism.
