Dehradun, May 27 -- More than 300 hectares of forest cover has so far been gutted in Uttarakhand in the current fire season, State Forest minister informed on Tuesday and said that most of the forest fire incidents have taken place in Garhwal region over Kumaon. Sharing the information, the minister further said so far 394 forest fire incidents have taken place in the state, taking nearly 331.12 hectares of forest area in its lap. He said that efforts are being made to control the raging fire scientifically with the help of public participation.
