Washington, July 31 -- The United States imposed sanctions on six entities and individuals in China, India, Russia, and Iran, including companies serving as general sales agents for Iran's sanctioned airline Mahan Air and an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-linked front company, accusing them of facilitating Tehran's military logistics, weapons transfers, and regional operations.
Announcing the measures, the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said Mahan Air, despite portraying itself as a civilian airline, has long served as "a critical conduit for the IRGC's movement of weapons, operatives, and military equipment worldwide."The sanctions target China-based Shanghai Wings International Logistics...
