Washington, Aug. 26 -- The United States has imposed sanctions on four India-based companies and three Indian nationals over their alleged involvement in the trade of Iranian petroleum and petrochemical products, as Washington intensifies economic pressure on Tehran.
The sanctions were announced by the US State Department as part of "Operation Economic Outcast", a broader campaign targeting Iran's military activities, procurement networks, cyber operations and petroleum and petrochemical trade.
The four India-based entities named by the US are Portease Partners LLP, Sadashiva Overseas Limited, PP Softtech Private Limited and Prakrutees Infra Impex India Private Limited.
