New York, Aug. 31 -- Novak Djokovic lost in the first round of a Grand Slam for the first time in two decades as the 39-year-old reigning Olympic champion was beaten by Mariano Navone of Argentina in a five-set marathon at the US Open.
No. 4 seed Djokovic was stunned 7-6(5), 5-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in a punishing four hours and 36 minutes of tennis at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday.
