Washington, June 22 -- The United States struck an alleged drug-trafficking vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean, with two people killed during the operation, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said.
"On June 21, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations," the command wrote on X late on Sunday.
Two alleged narco-terrorists were killed, the command added.
