Washington, Sept. 20 -- The U.S. military carried out a strike on an alleged drug-trafficking boat in the Caribbean, killing four people, U.S. Southern Command (Southcom) said Saturday, in the latest in a series of attacks on vessels accused of trafficking narcotics.
Southcom said on the social media platform X that, under its direction, the Joint Force Western Hemisphere "executed a lethal, kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean.""Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel's active involvement in narco-trafficking," Southcom said, adding that the four people killed were "narco-terrorists."The strike was the latest announced in nearly a month.
