New Delhi, June 18 -- A group of U.S. lawmakers has demanded that the Trump administration immediately provide Congress with the full text of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached between the United States and Iran on June 15, warning that lawmakers and the American public have been kept "in the dark" about a costly conflict and the diplomatic agreement intended to end it.
In a letter sent to Secretary of State Marco Rubio on June 17, members of Congress called for an urgent briefing and the release of all documents related to the agreement, including any side deals, implementation arrangements and the administration's strategy for negotiating a broader accord with Tehran during the reported 60-day ceasefire period.
