Arti Bali, July 9 -- The US is planning to significantly expand its investment footprint across Southeast Asia, with a focus on critical supply chains, artificial intelligence, energy, infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.
The move follows a recent visit by senior officials to the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Indonesia to identify investment opportunities and strengthen partnerships with governments and private sector companies.
The US has around $205 billion available for global investments through debt financing, equity investments, political risk insurance, loan guarantees and project development funding.
