Washington, May 4 -- : The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied claims by Iranian state media that a US naval vessel was struck by missiles near the Strait of Hormuz.
"No US Navy ships have been struck," CENTCOM said in a post on X, dismissing the reports.
Earlier, Iran's state news agency IRNA, citing a military statement, said its navy had issued a "firm and rapid warning" that prevented what it described as US and Israeli "enemy destroyers" from entering the Strait of Hormuz.
