Baghdad/ Damascus, April 7 -- American bases in Iraq and Syria came under drone attacks launched by Iran-backed militias, operating under the umbrella of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, in what appears to be retaliation for the ongoing US-Israeli operations against Iran and other regional conflicts in West Asia.

According to Iraqi media, the Harir Airbase in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region was struck by an unmanned aerial vehicle in the early hours of Tuesday.

Authorities have not yet released details on casualties or the extent of damage. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
