Washington, Aug. 30 -- The United States has announced more than $3.6 million in humanitarian assistance for Nepal following devastating floods triggered by a glacier collapse along the Nepal-Tibet border, as rescue teams continued searching for nearly 3,000 missing people.
The US assistance, announced includes emergency food support for up to 10,000 households affected by the disaster.
"There is no higher priority for us than the safety of American citizens," the US State Department said in a post on X.
